Name: Leslie LeBlanc
I'm from Moncton, NB Canada, am 24, and have lived there most of my life. I've wanted to write since my youth. I live with my husband and I have 2 cats - Sweetie (all black), and Trouble (black and white). I've never been much of a talker but I suppose alot of you would like to know a bit about me. Here I go.
I used to sit in my room all the time and read. I like to read all kinds of books, mystery, psychological thrillers, etc... My grandfather used to buy me Nancy Drew's once a week and I just 'ate them up'. I still have a bunch of them. Upon reaching the age of twelve I started reading romance novels.
I started writing poetry young, especially for the group I was in - Girl Guides. Later years (12 years +) I started writing stories but never finished them. I was always scared of what other people thought - especially my parents. I suffered from low self esteem for years - partially from my childhood and another part - from a hidden medical condition (PCOS) unknown to me until early 2007 (at age of 24).
I had started writing again and was working on my second completed novel when I found out. I'd been admitted to the hospital for nearly a week while tests where done. I have been diagnosed with diabetes (type 2) due to Polycystic Ovary Syndrom (PCOS) - which is linked (causing) diabetes, depression, many hormonal imbalances affecting the endocrine system, and causes infertility among other things.
I was so confused at first I didn't know what was going on. It was like a kick in the butt - like someone was telling me life is short and I shouldn't be afraid to do what I enjoy. The thing was that with my first completed novel I was a little rusty.
I've written four and am working on a fifth that won't be available for a while. The fourth one, called 'A Knight to Remember' is a historical novella that is about a prince and peasant whose worlds collide chaotically.
This and all my books are available at www.LesliesBookStore.com and if you have anything you would like to ask me leave a message or email me at LesliesBookStore@gmail.com. Feel free to write me and ask anything.
